Meeting (Jake/Scar)

Jake walked to the meadow. It was empty of every life, so he sat down under a tree and closed his eyes.

Scarlett walked into the meadow, feeling bored out of her mind. She always liked the fresh air, it just made her feel at peace. She looked over at a nearby tree and saw a guy there. She smirked slightly, and looked at him.

(My eyes are still closed, remember?)

Jake's eyes were still closed, but he had a prickling feeling on the back of his neck, like something or someone was watching him.

Scarlett layed down, and put her head in the grass, playing with the rim of her shirt, and stared at the sky.

Jake heard the abrupt rustle of grass and sat up quickly. A girl was in the grass, not to far away from him. "Uh, hello?" he asked.

Scarlett sat up, and looked at him. "What?" She called sharply, then looked at him, and smirked slightly.

"Oh hey. You from Pigfarts?" Jake asked, smiling. "I'm Jake."

Scarlett smiled back, slightly raising her eyebrows. "Yeah. I am." She nodded, batting her eyelashes.

She was really pretty, Jake noticed with a slight dizzyness. "Right, but you haven't told me your name," he said, turning a bit red.

Scarlett tilted her head, slightly smirking. "Scarlett Fabray." She looked at him intently. "Your name?" She asked.

"I think i just said my name was Jake," Jake said, his mind clearing momentarily as he laughed, and then lulled back. Her eyes were really pretty. "Umm, so.....how are you doing?"

Scarlett stood up, walking towards him, and sat down beside him. "Sorry, I couldn't really hear you over there." She grinned softly. "What did you say?"

She was really close now, and she smelled of perfume. Really, really nice perfume. "My name's Jake," Jake said. "How are you?"

Scarlett smiled, batting her eyelashes. "I've been good." She looked at his eyes. "What about you?" She asked, grinning softly.

Jake turned probably bright red. "Uh, well, I'm alright." His voice came out higher than normal.

Scarlett looked into his eyes. "What's wrong?" She asked, with a slight grin, already knowing.

"Oh, nothing." In his embarrassment, the fog fell off and he edged away a bit. "So, uh, why'd you come to PigFarts?"

Scarlett rolled her eyes, and moved slightly closer to him, batting her eyelashes. "Why anyone would go. An education in magic."

"That's nice," jake said absentmindedly. "You're part veela, aren't you? I can tell."

Scarlett looked at him, slightly raising an eyebrow. "You can tell? How so?" She folded her arms, looking at him with a slight smirk.

"Strong feeling of prettiness," Jake said, and then turned bright red. "Uh.....and you look veela-ish." he laughed nervously.

Scarlett smirked, looking at him. "Thank you." She looked at him, with a sigh. "Your okay, I guess." She shrugged lightly.

"Thanks," Jake said. "Don't know whether to take that as a compliment or an insult, but I like to maintain balance. So compliment."

Scarlett slightly rolled her eyes. "Take it however you want."

Jake grinned. "Boring you, am I? Huh. So who's veela in your family?"
