How to be nice Empty How to be nice

Elizabeth was heading up the stairs, having seen redhead already go up moments before, wanting to trap her exit. Of course, she was going to have to be fast with her spells if this was going to work. No time to even think about an exit strategy. Jack was off somewhere else waiting for her, hopefully having told no one. She was placing a lot of trust in Jack's stupidity, and redhead's anger. She hoped it wasn't misplaced.

She stood in the doorway to the owl house, wondering whether or not she should play with her target, or just get it over with. After all, there was only so long she could converse with them before her brain cells depleted.

"Glad to see you could make it," she greeted, clutching her wand by her leg. "I'm afraid there's been a change of plans."

How to be nice Empty Re: How to be nice

Mel sighed, staring out the large window as she waited patiently. She'd had one more stupid fight with Jack, as usually, but this time she hadn't talked to him since (How dare he pick Leo's side?). But they had decided - well, he had decided - that they should meet up, in the Owlry, to make up - hopefully.

There was a noise behind her and the girl twirled around, but it wasn't Jack who awaited her. She raised her eyebrows. "Effy? Where's Jack?" she pursued her lips. "Change of plans? He's still comming isnt he? I swear if he's bailed on me and is being pissy I'm going to kick him." she rolled her eyes before she looked up at the girl. "What's up?" something suddenly seemed very strange.

Elizabeth wasn't surprised that redhead's first reaction was to assume Jack bailed on her. If she was to be honest, that would've been her first reaction too. She chuckled slightly and shook her head, stepping forward and further into the Owlery.

"He's not coming," she explained, shrugging lightly. "He's off, somewhere, I'm not sure where. I came in his place," a slightly twisted smile took over her face, holding her wand up to point at the other girl. "But don't you worry. We'll make sure the point of this isn't lost on Jacky-boy. You'll make a wonderful messenger."

She cast a body-bind curse straight after, moving forward and trying to make her mind up which spell she should use. "This won't hurt a bit," Elizabeth murmured. "Well, it will, but you know, courtesy and everything."

Mel stared at the girl in front of her, Effy had always been a bit strange but she seemed really off today. "What are you saying?" Mel crossed her arms, eying her girl's wand slightly nervously. "Where is Jack, Effy?"

Mel wanted to scream but she couldn't; her arms locked to her sides and her legs together and the lack of balance made her fall backwards. She wasn't sure if her eyes were moving in their sockets, but she could still see and breathe, but not make a single noise.

She tried to wrestle herself free, even though she knew it would be no help at all, her frozen body forced still as her eyes stared at Effy and her ears were forced to listen to her words. This wont hurt a bit. Well, it will, but you know, courtesy and everything

The red head wanted desperately to call for Jack or Leo or Zoltan, Hell, she'd call for Sky or Lizzie if that would help, but then again, she had this feeling that no one could help her right now, even if she screamed off her head, no one would hear it.

Elizabeth didn't answer redhead's questions. She simply pointed her wand straight at redhead's nose, making her mind up. It had to be something simple, something believable. And she thought she had the perfect spell.

"I hope you like your face, because that'll make it so much more entertaining," she murmured, flicking her wand as she said the spell, trying to make it as strong as she could. It had to hurt at least a little bit.

She immediately started on the memory modification spell as redhead's face errupted into boils, feeling Jack's jacket weighing down underneath her own. Her memory had to include him wearing that jacket. She couldn't get this wrong, not after coming so far.

They fought, it got out of hand, Jack cast her spells in the same way, and Mel was knocked unconsious as he ran away. That was what she had to see. That was what she would see.

Zol walked up to the Owl house, a letter to his family clutched in his hands. He looked down and read over it as he climbed the stairs, making sure he didn't leave anything of importance out of it. Distracted, he didn't look up once he was in the Owl house for a few moments. When he did, he heart skipped a beat. What the hell?

It seemed that Mel was knocked out on the ground, and that Elizabeth girl was standing over her with a sadistic smile on her face. "What the hell are you doing?" Zol yelped, taking his wand out and pointing it at the girl

Elizabeth jumped out her skin as she heard someone behind her, spinning round and casting a stunning spell before she had time to fully realise what she was doing, breathing heavily and feeling her heart racing in her chest as she watched the boy fall back, his head smacking against the wall quite painfully. It was the blond boy. Why was he here?! She was sure that redhead would tell him not to come.

This was not what she had planned. Elizabeth approached the boy, glancing behind at Melanie, knowing she didn't have much time. She quickly oblivated him, remembering the jacket that was underneath her robes, racing out of the Owl House, stopping as she reached the bottom of the stairs, tearing the jacket on the handrail, probably more than was needed, but she was panicking now.

She was not used to dealing with things that didn't go her way. Everything always went her way.
