Out For A Drink

Post by Zoltan Maslin on Mon Apr 09, 2012 12:34 am

Zoltan grinned when he and Jack entered the night club, River Styx. Jack wasn't far behind him, but he wasn't really paying attention to him. Zol was too busy looking around the many people dancing and drinking. It looked like fun, and it was most definitely something to get his mind off the Leo situation.

Zol slipped his leather jacket off and hung it on the coat rack, then walked to the bar and ordered a fire whiskey. He didn't care that it was really strong, he wanted something strong. He wanted to completely forget about everything that had happened the past 2 days.

"Gonna be honest, never been here before," Jack said to Zoltan, grinning. He ordered himself a drink and looked around, whistling. It was pretty impressive, he had to say, and the energy in the place...

He took a sip and almost choked on how strong the liquid was. He'd occasionally drunk his dad's vodka when the man hadn't been looking but it wasn't nearly as strong tasting as this stuff. Strangely enough, he kind of liked it. It gave him a buzz.

"It's a great place to drink and meet new people," Zol told Jack, downing half of his fire whiskey. His whole body felt alive and warm because of the liquid. He turned around and scanned the crowd covering the dance floor. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have people to snog."

Zoltan walked out to the dance floor to get a better look at the crowd. He noticed a nice looking guy staring at him, but he ignored him. Zol needed to snog a girl, to see if it felt as good as snogging Leo had. He seriously doubted it did, but ventured farther into the crowd anyways

"Woah, okay, eager," Jack laughed, but Zoltan was already gone, moving over to see some other guy. Jack grinned and took another sip, wincing as he drank too much too soon. He looked over at the bartender and dropped his gaze, hoping that he was tall enough to pass for eighteen.

He took a bigger gulp of liquid this time, and began to chug it back, eyes watering a little when he slammed the glass back down on the bar. "Same again!" he told the bartender in a voice that sounded cheery to his own ears.

Zoltan returned to the bar where Jack was about 10 minutes later. His hair was slightly disheveled and he had a bit of lip stick on his mouth. He took a seat on a bar stool and started repeatedly banging his head on the bar.

"I snogged a girl.. And I hated it," Zoltan said with a sigh, ceasing from banging his head. I guess I should just accept it. He gulped down the rest of his fire whiskey then got up and went out into the crowd again, in search of the guy from before.

Zol quickly found him, and they talked for a minute before the guy, who's name he learned was Cedric, pulled him back to a corner of the bar and they started snogging. Zol didn't enjoy quite as much as with Leo, but it was much more enjoyable than with the girl.

Re: Out For A Drink

Post by Leo Wyatt on Mon Apr 09, 2012 9:48 pm

Leo had agreed to meet with Mel at the River Styx because he felt like he should apologize. He couldn't invite her over at his house, in case Nat would hear them talking. He didn't want to go to her house, because he wasn't going to risk the chance of Jack walking in on them again. Even if they weren't doing anything. So Leo opted for the River Styx, a place he was certain Jack had never been before. And he doubted he would go there.

The club might be eighteen plus, but Leo had no trouble getting in. A little magic did wonders for your appearance, and seeing as he was sixteen, he was allowed to use magic outside of school. A tiny glamour here, a little changing there, and no one at the door would notice. Once inside, the spells could be dropped. No one inside cared how old you were. At least, not until you got in trouble.

He made his way to the bar, about to order a drink, when he noticed one very familiar face. He had no idea how he even managed to find that one particular person in the crowd, but he did. And the sight of what was happening to him, did not please Leo one bit.

The boy couldn't quite say way, but the sight managed to make his blood boil. He didn't wait for his drink, got up from his chair, and walked up to the snogging pair without looking away. Anger was readable on his face and he was having a hard time unclenching his fingers. He managed though, and curled his hand around the arm of the boy, man, twat that was currently snogging Zoltan's face off.

A sharp tug forced him to turn around and then Leo's fist was raised and he punched the boy right in the face, hearing his nose making a satisfying sound under his own hand. He wasn't satisfied yet however, anger still rushing through his body as he used his other hand to deliver a blow right in the boy's stomach, pulling back only to watch him fall to the ground.

"Hands off!" Leo hissed, only just managing to keep himself from kicking the bastard in the head, limbs trembling.

Jack raised his eyebrows when Zoltan returned, lipstick on his face. "Oh well, at least you're sure," he told Zoltan, smiling reassuringly, before watching him disappear again. The second drink had arrived, and he drank this one without pausing for a breath. He was feeling great - a little bit disconnected, but great.

After his third drink, he noticed someone he recognised enter, and he jumped from his barstool, tripping over the rung at the bottom and stumbling as he moved onto the floor towards him, stopping only to giggle and nudge the person next to him. "Floor there," he slurred to them. "Don't trip." He gave them a push and moved forwards.

"Leo!" he shouted, but Leo was punching a man nearby and Jack wasn't particularly sure why. He shrugged, before pulling Leo's shoulder and prodding him in the chest. "You," he said, swaying towards him, "are a twat. Y'know tha'? You're a twat." Something about saying that seemed very funny to Jack, and he giggled, leaning on Leo as he laughed.

He's pretty good at this, Zol thought. The guy, Cedric, was really getting into it. He had Zol pushed up against the wall, snogging his face off. Zol couldn't help but wish it were Leo. Suddenly, Cedric was being pulled away from him. Zol saw the angry face of Leo and his heart skipped a few beats. He stood their in horror as Leo punched Cedric and knocked him to the ground.

"What the hell is your problem?" Zol yelled, furious. Jack stumbled up to them and said some incoherent words that sounded like he was calling Leo a twat, which he was. Jack looked to be completely wasted, but right now, Zol could care less. He turned his attention back to Leo. "Why the fuck did you do that?"

Re: Out For A Drink

Post by Leo Wyatt on Mon Apr 09, 2012 10:48 pm

Leo's breathing was heavy and low as he tried to regain control over his body, blinking rapidly. His hands were clenched into tight fists as he looked at the figure on the ground. He didn't even hear what Jack was saying to him, he didn't even register that it was Jack who was poking him in the chest. He didn't even notice his best friend was here, in the River Styx. Nor how ironic it was.

It wasn't until Zoltan started talking, Leo reacted again. And his brain started working again.

"I, he," he stammered, still breathing heavily. "He was kissing you," Leo muttered, eyes going back to the figure on the ground. "He wasn't supposed to be kissing you, he's not allowed to kiss you," he continued, his mind spinning as he tried to realize what those words meant. He was having a hard time trying to get a grasp on them. He just knew that he really, really did not want Zoltan to kiss someone else.

Jack watched blurrily as Zoltan began to snap at each other, frowning a little as Leo spoke. "Does Zoltan b'long t'you?" he asked, snorting, before sloshing half of his drink down himself. "Whoops." He smiled, and leaned back, letting go of Leo and swaying on the spot.

He looked at the man doubled over in pain as if seeing him for the first time. "Hi!" he said cheerfully. "You get hit by a l'v'boar'? It hurts, dunnit?" He smiled knowingly, before clutching his head dizzily.

"Yeah, he was kissing me and I was kissing him!" Zol said, glaring at Leo. What the hell was his problem? He was the one that went and snogged some else right after snogging him. "What the hell do you mean he's not allowed to kiss me? I can kiss whoever I want!" he said, even more furious. He did not belong to Leo, was not his play thing.

Zol pushed passed Leo and knelt down by Cedric, whom Jack was seemingly having a one-sided conversation with. "Go sit down, Jack. You can't think straight when you're drunk," Zol told him as he helped Cedric to his feet and over to a table. Then he noticed the security was walking over towards them and groaned.

Re: Out For A Drink

Post by Melanie Frost on Mon Apr 09, 2012 11:32 pm

Mel had, a bit reluctantly, agreed to meet Leo. And at the River Styx of all places.

At first the red head had no idea how she was going to get in, but then she remembered Liz's story of the place and how the guards didn't really pay attention if you giggled (sexily, had Liz added). So Mel was going to try that. But for luck she'd also snagged Liz's fake ID that she had left at home. Liz obviously looked a lot different to her, but she was hoping the guy at the door wouldn't notice that little detail. She hadn't turned sixteen yet so she couldn't use magic outside of school.

Thankfully, Liz had told the truth, and with one giggle, a smile and the guy at the door not even looking at the ID, Mel had gotten herself into the club.

She stood on her tiptoes, looking for Leo, wondering how the hell she was ever going to find him in this crowd, but that mission seemed to be easier than she would've hoped.

Of course. She thought to herself. OF COURSE! Of course Leo fucking Wyatt would start a club-fight. And it wasn't enough that Leo was there, but both Zoltan and Jack seemed to be partaking in this fight as well. Shaking her head, in desperation Mel hurried towards her friends.

"Right, what the hell guys?" she managed up, after pushing her way through the crowd that had started to form around them. "What the hell is going on?"

Leo ignored Jack, his eyes were trained on Zoltan. He watched as he moved to check on the boy on the ground, and he pressed his nails harder into the palm of his hands. He wasn't able to slow down his breathing. Leo didn't notice the security coming their way.

He took a few steps backwards, trying to realize what he had done. How stupid he had been. Zoltan wasn't his. Zoltan had every right to kiss anyone he wanted. Leo wasn't allowed to decide for him. Because Zoltan wasn't his.

Leo didn't notice Mel as she joined them, his eyes still trained on the blond boy. "I'm sorry," he choked out. "I'm sorry," he muttered again.

"Mel?" Zol said when the redhead walked up to them. Damn, is everyone here? He shook his head and closed his eyes for a minute. A minute or so later, he opened them with a sigh and turned to Leo. The look on the boys face was heartbreaking. Zol almost felt like giving him a hug and apologizing for yelling at him, but he didn't. Not after what he'd did to him the other day. Zol straightened back up as the security approached them.

They asked many questions to the few of them, then went off to call Leo's sister, Natalie, to come pick him up. "Great, we're all banned for life from here, and Natalie is going to brutally kill us," Zol said, frustrated. He didn't want to deal with any of this right now. He just wanted to go back home and go to bed.

Re: Out For A Drink

Post by Natalie Wyatt on Tue Apr 10, 2012 12:29 am

Natalie was furious. No, furious was not a strong enough word. She was murderous.

She had just been casually hanging around home, having coffee and chocolate and watching some lame-ass movie on the TV when she had gotten the phone call.

Leave it to her brother to start a fucking bar fight! So the dark haired woman had been forced up from the couch, into the car and then she had started driving, thinking of ways to slowly murder her brother while she did it and probably cheating her way over few red lights.

Once inside the club, the angry woman pushed some snogging couples away and pushed her way through the crowd until she reached her brother. Noticing a kid with blood all over his face, her eyebrows narrowed. "Oh, look what we here, isn't it just a perfect kids of the year party over here?" she glared, staring down at all four of her students. "You guys are coming with me, all of you."

Jack put his hands up when Zoltan told him to get out of the way, sitting cross-legged on the ground and lying back, suddenly tired. He saw a pair of feet and grinned when he looked up and saw distinctive red hair. "Mel!" he said cheerfully, grabbing her ankle. "Y'know, I lov'you. You broke m'heart." He frowned and closed his eyes again.

And then another voice joined, a bllend of sarcasm and a small amount of fury, and he pushed himself to his feet, recognising Professor Wyatt, Leo's sister. "Nat'lie!" he greeted, grinning. "You're kind of sexy," he told her, a wide smile on his face, before he felt a churning in his stomach. "Ugh, Professor, I don't feel -" A wave of nausea took him and all of a sudden he had thrown up the entire contents of his stomach (three and a half stupidly strong drinks) all over Professor Wyatt. His knees felt suddenly weak and he grabbed hold of Leo to support himself.

"I feel better now," he told them, closing his eyes and resting his head on Leo's shoulder, giggling slightly.

Re: Out For A Drink

They were going to call his sister. The security came, asked them all these questions, and then one left to inform his sister of what had happened. At other times, Leo might have been horrified by this. Absolutely horrified and fearing for his life. But at that exact moment he couldn't even bring himself to care.

It didn't take long for his sister to arrive, and Leo got ready to come with her without protest. Tears were prickling behind his eyelids as he realized he actually royally fucked up this time. And there was nothing he could do about it.

His eyes went wide when Jack emptied his stomach over his sister, this was the first time Leo even registered his friend was smashed. Jack decided Leo was a good thing to use for balance, and Leo just stood there, staring at his now puke-covered sister with wide eyes. Watery wide eyes.

"He's sorry Nat," Leo whispered quietly, not daring to look at Mel or Zoltan. Because of him they were all in trouble. Because of him they were all here. How did he manage to even cause this much shit to happen. Tears were now clearly formed in his eyes, but Leo brought up his hand to wipe them away before they could fall. "I'm sorry too," he said quietly, his voice slightly defated.

He hauled Jack's arm over his shoulder so he could help his friend stand. And keep him from running off. Leo felt like that was the least he could do.

"Someone-" Mel started, looking from one boy to another "Needs to explain!"

She flinched at Jack's tone and his words, closing her eyes the red head tried to form a sentence but she couldn't. She couldn't even understand fully what he was saying. "Someone please," she looked up, her eyes feeling warm. "-explain."

But before anyone could 'explain', security had arrived and Natalie had been brought. Natalie Wyatt. Same person that caught her and Leo snogging the first time - damn, they really sucked at not getting caught - the crazy psycho teacher that turned people into stones. Threw people into walls.

And then Jack had puked on her and at that moment Melanie Frost was utterly terrified for her life. "Someone still needs to explain." she managed to mutter, eying Zoltan and then Leo who was stuttering out apologizes, but she refused to look at Jack. Finally she sighed and decided it would be best to follow Natalie out of the club.

Zoltan flinched when Natalie arrived and started telling them off. He had a terrible headache from the alcohol and yelling and Natalie was just making it worse. He closed his eyes but reopened them when Jack told Mel he loved her. He really is wasted. And then, as if to prove his thought, Jack threw up all over Natalie. Zol shook his head and was about to grab Jack to keep him from falling when Jack grabbed onto Leo.

"We'll explain later, Mel," Zol said quietly. There was so much to explain, it'd take a while. At this point, Zol was barely holding back from crying. Leo's apology nearly sent him over the edge. He almost reached out to grab Leo, but stopped. Later. We'll talk later. With another sigh, Zol walked towards the door, ready to leave the club and never come back.

Re: Out For A Drink

Post by Natalie Wyatt on Tue Apr 10, 2012 1:21 am

Natalie raised her eyebrows, watching her kid brother. Did he have tears in his eyes? What the flying fuck was going on-?

She shrieked her mind screaming 'ew' again and again. Her shirt, her skirt, her shoes. Everything was covered in vomit. At first the woman just stared blankly at the kid - that fucking Holloway kid that she fucking hated - before she pulled up her wand and cleaned herself up.

Speaking in a freakishly calm voice, Nat looked straight at her brother. "Carry Holloway into the car, and I swear if he vomits again, you guys will be cleaning it up with your tongues. Maslin, Frost, get into the car now."

Turning around quickly, Natalie stomped out of the club and into her car, waiting for all the kids to be inside, she turned to glare at them. "Is anyone going to explain to me what the hell is going on?" She stopped on her brother for a second, again noticing that .. utterly broken look on his face. Her heart sank. "I'm driving you three home."

Jack's head was beginning to feel murky now, the buzz subsiding. It seemed to be an effort to move any limbs at all as Leo helped him to Natalie's car. He sighed as he was helped inside and sat in the back, head lulling backwards.

"Sorry, Professor," he murmured sleepily."I ruined Christmas." It wasn't Christmas, was it? He didn't care anymore. He hadn't even got his belt on when he fell asleep against the seat.

Re: Out For A Drink

Post by Leo Wyatt on Tue Apr 10, 2012 10:14 am

Leo hauled Jack's arm further up his shoulder and started to walk towards the car. He ignored the look people gave him, especially the poisonous look from the boy he had punched. While the security was there, Leo had been forced to apologize. He'd said it, but he hadn't meant a thing. Jack was heavier than expected, leaning on Leo with most of his weight, but Leo managed.

They reached the car first, and Leo ushered his friend inside, not even registering the nonsense he was blurting out. He walked round the car and slipped into the backseat next to Jack, having strategically placed the now sleeping boy in the middle. He put a seat belt on himself and Jack and stared out the window while Zoltan and Mel got into the car.

"You can't bring Jack home Nat, not like this.. Please let him stay with us?" Leo muttered, fiddling with his thumbs. He'd broken the boys heart. He knew he liked Mel, Leo wasn't quite sure how he knew, but he knew, and he'd still kissed the redhead. And then Jack had walked in on them. While his hand was up her shirt. The least Leo could do was saving him from his parents wrath when they found out he was plastered.

He didn't open his mouth to explain. He couldn't get the words out.

'Oh, it's all quite simple. I was drunk, went to Zol's house, because I was avoiding you, you know, then I kissed him. Yeah, I kissed him. But then I blamed him for kissing me because I didn't know what to do. I was an utter arse, and I can't blame him for hating my guts. To slip into denial even more, I wanted to kiss a girl to prove to myself that it wasn't true I liked kissing boys. I was hoping to find Lizbet, but I ran into Mel instead, no offense Mel, you're lovely as well. I used a favour she still owned me to get her to kiss me, which she did. Then Jack ran in on us. He's in love with Mel, you know? My best friend is in love with her, and I still kissed her. How much of an arse am I? I agreed to meet up with Mel in here to apologize, thinking that Zoltan or Jack wouldn't be here. But then before Mel arrived I caught Zol kissing another boy and I just lost it. Which makes no sense because he is in no way mine. But I lost it. So I punched the boy. Twice. Then they called security and you came! Lovely story, isn't it?'

Yeah, he couldn't really say that. So he opted for another answer instead, voice soft as he remained staring out the window, trying not to think about the amount of trouble he was in. "It's not important, and my fault. You can't be angry at them," he muttered.

Mel had slipped into the backseat of the car, her eyes watching her blond best friend carefully, so she didn't notice until it was too late that she had plopped into the car and into the seat next to Jack, who was mumbling about Christmas.

She froze up, eyes moving in super speed from Jack and back to Zol. Zol, she thought to herself, you really need to explain.

She looked at Leo fro a moment, who was staring out the window. Yes, it was definitely much better to ask Zoltan to explain what the hell was going on. Why did Leo punch someone? Why did Zoltan look like he was about to cry? Why did Leo look like he was about to cry? What the hell was going on with Leo anyway? Was it the same thing that was the reason for why he kissed her?

She cringed at the word, her eyes finding Jack again, who seemed to be sleeping now, her stomach hurt so she decided it was best to just look out the window. "I'm going to Ari's." she said, fiddling with her fingers again. At least she could try to talk to Liz when she came home.

Re: Out For A Drink

Post by Zoltan Maslin on Tue Apr 10, 2012 1:50 pm

Zoltan begrudgingly got in the front seat of Natalie's car and buckled up. In a way he was happy to be finally going home so he could get some much needed sleep, but he didn't want to leave things as they were. He wanted to patch things up a little before going home, but he guessed they'd just have to wait for another day. Zol cringed at Leo's words. "It's not all your fault, Leo," Zoltan said quietly. He felt really guilty about yelling at Leo, however much the boy deserved it.

For the rest of the drive, Zol kept quiet, just looking out of the window. He'd only been in a car a few times in his life, but right now that didn't matter to him. All that mattered is that he wanted to do something about the way Leo was acting. He wanted to fix things, to make them better. Even if it took years, he wouldn't give up.

Natalie shook her head, ignoring Jack as he mumbled on about Christmas. She fixed her eyes on the road, listening to her brother as he spoke.

Sighing, she agreed. "Holloway can stay, for one night. And then he's going home." she said, glaring slightly.

She was still confused, and Nat did not enjoy being confused. The Maslin kid looked like someone had driven over his pet bunny and then made pasta-sauce out of it's blood. Holloway was drunk and apparently asleep, the ginger girl, Frost, seemed to know as little as Nat knew about what was going on and Leo seemed.. awfully broken. Nat could handle happy Leo, angry Leo, let's-break-rules-Leo, aggressive Leo, Bringing-home-girls Leo, but she did not know how to handle a broken Leo.

Sighing, Natalie decided the questions could wait and for now she was just going to drive them all home and then go to bed and then in the morning, she could murder someone.
