Second years (Lesson 2) Empty Second years (Lesson 2)

Post by Christina Winters Mon Aug 22, 2011 10:51 pm

((For refrence this is what the clasroom looks like before http://facweb.stvincent.edu/Academics/Physics/Planetarium1.jpg))

Christina went into her classroom excited for the new year. She couldn't make it for her first lesson so she was happy to see all her old students. Heading over to her supply closet she gathered all the telescopes and placed them on her desk. They would be studying constilations today. Taking out her wand she transfigured some of the chairs into desks and banished the rest, before levitating one telescope to a table.

Stepping back Chrissy looked happily at her work before heading over to the blackboard, because they would be needing partners for this lesson.

Partners
Jessica Winters-Zoltan Maslin
Lacey Black-Zytka Vian Baer
Alexandra Rose-Natalie Richter

Noticing an odd number of students Christina had to make one group of three.
Sky Rider-Melaine Frost-Jack Holloway

After she was done she sat at her desk waiting for the students to arrive.

Second years (Lesson 2) Empty Re: Second years (Lesson 2)

Mel walked into the Astronomy classroom, her fingers grasping her boyfriend's hand.
She wasn't sure if the teacher would mind them walking in together and showing public display of affection but blankly she didn't care.

"Hello Professor!" She greeted happily, but her happytone was quickly taken away when she noticed the board.

Sky... AND .. Jack? Really? REALLY?
She almost felt like screaming, she tensed up - her fingers probably squeezing Sky's hand hard.

Zytka walked into the Astronomy classroom and sighed, she was getting really bored with school, and the year had barely begun.

She walked to a random desk and sat down on it, finally standing up again, she walked up to a wall and banged her head on it a couple of times, and then walked back to the desk.

Jessica walked quietly into her mother's classroom behind Sky and Melanie. Sky was her best friend and she still couldn't believe he never introduced her to his girlfriend. Best friends need to know these things! Shrugging she noticed the change in classroom as she entered and looked up at the board. Oh merlin...Zoltan. Slightly glaring at her mother she stood by one of the desks and sighed.

Jack entered the Astronomy Tower and groaned as soon as his eyes met the board.

Being paired up with Sky in Rocko was bad enough, but this had reached a whole new level. They now had to put up with each other twice, once in the middle of the night when they would undoubtedly be grouchy. And on top of that, they had Mel with them, who on her own was fine, but with them both would surely mean they would have to work even harder to be civil.

"Hi Professor," he said, trying to drown out the bitterness with civility and not quite managing.

This was a nightmare.

Mel stared slightly at Jack when he walked in and then back at the board.
She finally sighed.
"Yay my whole group is here!" she forced up in an excited tone.

She then grasped out for Jack's arm and pulled both him and Sky towards the back of the classroom - making sure they stood in a way that made her in the middle, between them.

"Hello partner!" she said, smiling over at Jack and squeezing Sky's hand a little.
She was almost sure it was obvious how much she was trying to act as if this wasn't going to be awkward.

It was official: Jess' mom hated Sky. He didn't know why, but, for some bizarre reason, the professors seemed to think that making Jack his partner was a great idea.

Trying to keep the horrified expression off of his face, Sky attempted to send Mel a reassuring smile. Unfortunately, it came out as more of a grimace than anything else.

When Jack walked in, Sky had to force himself not to scowl. Since Mel was there, he had to be even more civil then he was in Rockology. Which, really, meant he had to actually speak to the dude.

"Hey," he said, not glaring, but not smiling either as he was dragged towards the back of the class by the short redhead.

So far, Sky was really hating second year.

Jack took in a deep breath and put a smile on his face. "Hiiii, guys," he greeted, slurring the first word. "How are you two today?" He wanted to hit his head against something hard.

Mel dragged them towards the back of the classroom, and Jack allowed the pained smile to slip from his face for a second to mime screaming, before replacing his expression with it's previous facade. Second year was not going well with him. He wondered if any of the other partners were having the same problem.
